Today is our 8 year anniversary. I clearly remember being calm and very excited to get married. I wasn't nervous at all on my weeding morning. It's amazing all that happens in such a short time. On our first anniversary, we found out we were pregnant with Payton. It was the best way to celebrate! Next year we'll have 3 kids! I'm proud of both of us for growing and maturing into a happy couple over the years. Marriage is a lot of hard work that takes two people to give equally. We respect each other and give thanks daily to one another. I'm so happy to celebrate another year together.
Tonight for dinner, I'll make jerk chicken, fresh pineapple, red beans and rice and maybe try plantains. Brownies will be an easy desert, but nothing Jamaican about them. I'll see what else I can put together for the special dinner. The kids are excited too. Every year we watch our wedding video and look back at pictures. It's always a fun day to celebrate.
