Maya's was really good too. It's fun to see the kids doing so well.

Last Friday, I went to Payton's school to help the first graders make gingerbread houses. It was fun to see all the kids get so excited. There was Christmas music and the kids were singing along. I love this time of year.

I was glad to be able to go for a few hours too. Last year I read to the class and helped once a week in the classroom. This year, I've only gone to special days. First graders are so much more independent than kindergartners. It's amazing how quickly they grow.
