Vacation...or at least a weekend get away

Last Friday we went to Green Bay for Jim's state bowling tournament. We thought it would be a nice little trip for the kids. Payton had an ear infection that hadn't healed from the previous week, so we took him to the clinic to make sure it wasn't anything more serious. Fortunately, it was just not fully healed and nothing more. So off we were. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive, so we were hoping the kids would fall asleep. They did, just out of town. It was a nice quiet drive.

I was getting a cold and Rachel is used to still taking two naps a day, so it was a little crazy to do anything very exciting. Jim bowled really well and was happy, so it turned out to be fun anyway. And we didn't get the big snow storm as predicted. Over all, it was a nice weekend trip. We got some fun pictures and good memories from it.

We will be taking any offers, though, if anybody would like two kids for a weekend next year. Anybody? Please...
