Easter morning

The night before Easter we told Payton we didn't know when the Easter bunny would stop at our home. We told him he should stay in bed until at least 6:45. I was up at 6 to shower and in walks Payton about 6:20. I told him to go back to bed for a little bit. He said he was too excited. So I had him take a shower to take up some more time. I just didn't want to wake Rachel up too early. When he was done I had him go to his room to color for just a few more minutes. He came back in SO exited because the EB had left an egg in HIS room. So I couldn't make the kid wait any longer. We went to wake up Rachel and the y both ran to the living room to find eggs and their basket. Payton isn't a big candy eater, not by my doing either. He likes a little here and there, but not like other kids. Rachel got her first real taste of chocolate and she's my kid. She loved it. Jim didn't think they should have too much so early, but I said that's what Easter is about...CANDY! It gave me an excuse too.
Payton was also happy to find the EB had left some magic powder and colorful sprinkles outside on the front steps. (Glitter and cookie sprinkles) It was a fun morning and even better because we were all together as a family. It was nice to be home and not have any major plans. The kids loved playing outside with their dad. It was a very fun Easter day.
