Last Wednesday was the first official full day of kindergarten. Payton was so excited and ready for the new adventure. When we got to the playground, he ran off and just started playing like he's been there before. He quickly found kids from preschool, so that helped too. Once the bell rang, he knew he was supposed to run to his class line, but he looked confused which way to go. Once we led him to the line, he stood there so patiently. He looked so grown up. I still hadn't cried up to this point. I was very proud and happy. Then I heard a blood curdling scream. A little boy was crying to his mom to not go and clinging to her leg. I broke down for her, not me. As soon as I heard that, I saw Payton's class starting to go into the school. Payton had the biggest smile and waived saying "Bye guys, see you at 3!!" I then had tears of happiness for my big kid. He had a great day and had so much to share when we picked him up at 3.

What a relief for you that he was so happy about being at school. I think I would have cried for that other mother too. It is hard to leave your kids when they are crying for you.
Wednesday Camryn will go to her first day at Mother's Day Out. I'm a basketcase! I just don't see her lasting the full five hours. I only hope she lasts long enough for me to go get my hair cut and colored! LOL
You made me want to cry just reading this!
