I'm grateful that we have been able to travel with our kids. When Payton was just under two years old, we flew out to visit Colleen and Rob in Flagstaff. Even though we all ended up with the flu at different times and an ER trip on the 4th of July, we are glad we got to expirence something different. Payton doesn't really remember it, but he likes to look at the pictures and talk about it.
Last November, I flew out to Arizona with Rachel when she was only 4 months old. It was pretty easy to travel with a small baby. Jim and Payton stayed home, so it was kind of an adventure for me too.
Growing up we always traveled all over the country. I think it's a really great life lesson that my parents gave us. It's something I want to give to our kids too.
