Sometimes kids say the funniest, smartest and most embarrassing things. Here are a few just from today:

Payton: Where are pirates now?

Me: There aren't any anymore.

Payton: Are they dead?

Me: Yes

Payton: I guess they are in heaven

We went to the mall and a worker was pushing a cart of clothes at Gap. He said to go ahead because we were waiting for him to pass. Once we heard his voice, Payton said "huh, I thought it was a boy, but I guess it's a girl" since he had a higher voice. I was SO embarrassed. I'm pretty sure he heard, but I didn't want to make eye contact with him. We walked out a quickly as possible.

We drove through the cemetary to visit Jim's borther's grave. As we were driving through, we saw a big cross monument on a hill. Payton got all excited and said "That's where God is buried!"
